Adapters are used to connect fiber-optic components in a structured cable network. According to the latest versions of the standards SCS when designing new networks adapters, patch cords and other terminal equipment should be use only with LC-type connectors. When upgrading an existing cabling system, the use of SC connectors is allowed. The adapters are made with a zirconia (ceramic) sleeve for the highest connection quality (SM and MM). The characteristics of the adapters comply with the IEC 61754 standard, equipped with clips for easy installation.
